Magical Interlude at the resort of LuostoWhere magic and fantasy combine, one has the opportunity to go sledging, to enjoy reindeer and husky rides and trips by motorised, snow scooters. Yet there is so much more to the magic, for here Father Christmas has his natural home. his elves and reindeer await, and of one thing we are sure, Santa always has time to meet all children who come to his homeland and, by tradition always has a present awaiting them why not join us as we go in search Father Christmas. Itinerary:Day 1:You'll fly from your chosen airport to Lapland where, upon arrival, you will be transferred to Luosto and your accommodation. Watch out for Tricky Dicky the elf. Who knows what tricks may be played? Allow us to bring the magic of Christmas to your heart as you relax and enjoy a welcome dinner. Day 2: Will today be the day we find Santa? Our adventure is planned for today using a combination of skidoos (motorised snow scooter), husky dogs and reindeer. We hope that Donner and Blitzen will give our scouts advice as to Santa's Location, but fear not, if we do not find him today there is still plenty of time for our search. Will we see, the elves who may assist us in our search? A simple lunch will be provided. This evening, back at Luosto, enjoy your meal recounting the pleasure of the day. Day 3:Skidoos, reindeer and huskies will once again be used as our search continues. Travelling across prepared tracks in an area known for its peace and tranquillity is a truly exhilarating experience. Lunch once again will be taken at the most appropriate time and setting. Father Christmas is known never to disappoint children taking the time and trouble to visit him and if we were not able to meet him yesterday, for sure today will be the day for that very special encounter. Enjoy a farewell diner. Day 4:A choice of activities are offered for your final morning here in Luosto. Join in our mini snow games where you can try your hand at our tug of war competitions. Alternatively, ice skating to Christmas musical accompaniment, simply enjoy the pleasure of tobogganing or relax and enjoy the resort facilities. Lunch will be taken in Luosto and there will be the opportunity to buy souvenirs of Lapland before transferring back for return flight to the United Kingdom. Traditional Lappish Cuisine (Optional)If you would like to eat typical Lappish fayre for dinner during your visit Luosto, it is possible to dine at Kertulli's, a small restaurant with waiter service, located opposite the hotel and within walking distance from the cabins. Typical Lappish meals are built around soups (mushroom, salmon etc), main courses tend to offer reindeer in various forms, and desserts, Lappish style cheese, berries etc. The restaurant permits you to select totally from its A La Carte menu and can offer child-friendly meals (pizza etc.) if required. A supplement is charged, details on request. Bookings must be made at the time of your initial holiday reservation and cannot be booked locally in resort. Reservation can only be accepted for the full tour duration. Prices do not include drinks of any nature, which should be paid for locally when consumed.
