Join us on this fabulous 4 day winter adventure in `Search of Father Christmas' deep within the Lappish fells. Experience the various means of transport such as husky, reindeer and snowmobile rides as well as some classic simple snow games. Meet Santa's Special Elves who may lead us to Santa, but watch out ... Tricky Dicky is always trying to lead us onto the wrong path ... For all bookings made directly via this website from 04/08/06, prices are guaranteed without any fuel surcharge Itinerary:Day 1: It's difficult to believe, but the day has actually arrived that we depart for Lapland. Packing over and having arrived at the airport, check in is swiftly completed for our destination deep in the fells of Lapland and our introduction to this land of make believe. Following our arrival we transfer to Salla or Olos and are accommodated in hotel rooms, bungalows, apartments or cabins in accordance with your wishes. Already the feeling of this special Christmas land engulfs us as we contemplate finding Santa Claus. Overgarments and boots will be allocated to keep you warm. Welcome evening dinner in the restaurant. Day 2 :This surely must be a magical land! 9am and it's still dark outside, yet the reflection from the snow is such that we can see easily enough. After a fortifying Finnish breakfast it's time to consider the activities of the day. What does our winter wonderland offer as we search for Santa...? Husky rides, sometimes even the opportunity of husky mushing. Reindeer rides and snowmobiling over prepared tracts. We may even spot Speedy Sam rushing through the woods to finish the last preparations for Christmas Day! Lunch will be taken at an outside setting and dinner will be served in your hotel restaurant. Day 3:Following a hearty breakfast, skidoos, reindeer and huskies will once again be used as our search continues. Make sure you keep an eye out for Santa's special Elves as they are sure to help us on our Search for Santa Claus. Fortunately Father Christmas is known never to disappoint children taking the time and trouble to come to his homeland to visit him and we can therefore be certain of meeting him sometime during today for that very special encounter. Lunch will be taken at an outside location and enjoy a farewell dinner in the hotel restaurant this evening. Day 4:4 A choice of activities are offered for the morning including down hill skiing (slalom) cross country skiing, ice fishing and other snow led activities. Lunch will be taken in the hotel and an opportunity provided to buy some traditional souvenirs en route to the airport before joining your return flight to the Unit Igloo Accommodation Whether you are accommodated in a hotel or cabin, the lure of the Arctic may prevail. Arrangements have made for igloos to be built (subject to satisfactory weather conditions) and invite you to request an overnight stay in one. No additional charge is made.
