Lapland Extravaganza Daybreak -Visit Kittila and meet
Santa Claus and his special elves.

An ultimate day out must be our one-day Magical Extravaganza visit to Kittila as you go to meet Santa in Lapland. From the very moment of your arrival at check-in until your arrival back home our main aim is to ensure a very enjoyable day for you.

Breakfast will be served on the outbound flight and, where possible, aircraft with on-board video entertainment facilities will be used. Also, where airlines and crew co-operate, there will be traditional Christmas sing-a-long. As you descend upon the tarmac at Kittila it will be but a short time before customs and immigration formalities are completed and you change into your overgarments (all-in-one suits and boots provided on loan for the day).

You will leave Kittila airport grounds by Skidoo and Sleigh - surely one of the most unusual ways of leaving any airport. Onwards you traverse the snowy countryside en-route to one of Santa's hideaways, where rumour has it that you will find the great man himself as well as his special elves. Enjoy a meal at this location, which, although simple in nature due to the means of its preparation, will taste very special indeed in this environment. Sample hot soup, baked potatoes (with a choice of meat or vegetarian filling) and a dessert of pancakes and jam.

Santa is known to enjoy unusual forms of transportation and you too can enjoy a range of activities including husky & sleigh rides, tobogganing, skidoos and of course reindeer sleigh rides. You will also find excellent photographic opportunities with snow holes or igloos - built subject to correct weather conditions prevailing.

It is also known that Santa would not disappoint anyone travelling to his homeland especially to meet him, so we know Santa would love to meet your own party. Children also have the pleasure of personally delivering their letters to Santa, on time for Christmas Day. We also understand the elves have been very busy and Santa has selected individual gifts for each child visiting him on this magical day.

Soon it will be time to bid a final farewell to Santa and his special elves, who must continue making preparations for Christmastide. As a lasting souvenir of your day you will be provided with husky, reindeer and snowmobile licenses and a certificate stating you have crossed the Arctic Circle. There are opportunities to purchase souvenirs of Lapland during your stay. On your flight home, dinner will be served.
